I have been working with Children and families at the ADHD Clinic of Sierra Vista Child and Family Services for over 11 years.  I am licensed as a marriage family therapist, with a growing private practice where I see children, teens, and adults for relationship issues, behavioral problems and school related concerns.  I have extensive experience providing psycho educational groups, social skills groups, and parenting classes at the ADHD program and I am registered through the Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide seminars and workshops for Continuing Education Units to marriage family therapists and social workers.

I am excited about being an adjunct instructor at MJC as I also graduated with my AA prior to attending California State University Stanislaus with my Masters in clinical psychology.  I look forward to being able to instruct courses that promote the combination of learning and joy in children of all ages.  My interest in helping children, parents, and teachers work together has led me to specialize in Special Education regulations and making sure free and appropriate education is provided.  Play and play therapy are also central aspects of my profession and personal life.

I am the current president of the California Association for Play Therapy's Central Valley Chapter.  Prior to working in the mental health profession, my husband of 27 years and I, while raising two children, owned and operated a catering business with a restaurant and bakery.  I have been baking and decorating cakes since I was in the fifth grade and continues to use my interest and talent in food in my approach to working with children
