Per Email from Debbie on July 1st, she has arrived safely in Kenya.......

Hi, and WELCOME to MJC!  It has been my privilege to teach here at MJC for eight years.  Before coming here I taught at Humboldt State University for two years.  Prior to that, I taught Child Development courses as an adjunct for 11 years at other community colleges before coming to Modesto.

My heart and passion is to serve children and their families.  My area of expertise is working with children with disabilities.  I love a great challenge and am excited to bring my expertise to MJC.  As I work toward including children with significant disabilities in their natural environments (including regular classrooms, community events), I aim to inspire others who will follow after me.  I am regularly inspired by my students, other faculty that I have the privilege of working with, and the children that I serve.

Welcome, as we begin this journey of acquiring information, knowledge, exploration of new ways to solve old problems, and discovery about others and ourselves!  It’s going to be a great journey!  I’ll meet you on the way!
