Fencing at Modesto Junior College
updated 7/25/06Whether you’re a closet swashbuckler, an aspiring thespian, or an aerobically-oriented athlete looking for something new, fencing has something for you. Increase your flexibility and stamina as you learn fundamentals of the centuries-old sport of sword fighting. No prior knowledge necessary, although experienced fencers are also welcome.

MJC Community Education
Due to insurmountable scheduling difficulties, the MJC Community Education class Fencing for Fun and Health has had to be cancelled again for the Fall semester. I am, however, available for private or group lessons. You can reach me at 575-6004 (office) or email akardm@mjc.edu.
Required equipment: participants must bring fencing foil, mask, jacket (half-jacket OK), and glove. Epee and saber are optional. All equipment is available from the American Fencers Supply Company.
