Welcome to MRA-TV 137

 This class will expose you to lecture & lab situations that combine to provide students with the knowledge
 & skills to meet the needs of today's broadcast industry. As a student you will be trained in both analog &
 digital radio systems & software. You will learn what it takes to get that first job in radio.
 

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Students will learn to develop quality voice delivery.
Students will learn the basic rules to be on air according to the F.C.C.
Students will learn about Radio Formatics

Students will be able to read and interpret commercial and news copy.
Students will be able to identify and describe important vocal characteristics used to give meaning to copy.
                             Students will have the knowledge of the technology that is required for a broadcaster to perform on a regular basis.
Students will be able to apply the broadcast methods in order to perform and communicate effectively with the audience.
Students will have a better understanding of the broadcasters’ role in informing, entertaining and alerting the audience  members to news

Radio broadcasting in the Modesto area
goes back many, many years. In an effort
to preserve this rich history, a group of
dedicated radio enthusiasts have created
the Modesto Radio Museum. Please take a
moment to appreciate the work they’ve
done so far.
