Survey of interior finish materials and materials used in construction. Introduction to the industry, the influence of style and technology, the selection and specification issues related to specific categories of products. Lighting, flooring, paint and wall coverings, window treatments, plumbing fixtures and appliances, textiles, furnishings and various surface materials will be included. Lecture, small group activities, product research, and field trips.

Field trips may be required. (A-F and CR/NC) Transfer: CSU 3 units.
