Loading the bus
at MJC |
We load a
bus for the first time...and certainly not for the last time. A
sunny morning in which we prepare for two flights totaling 12 hours,
6 hours of waiting in airports, and two hours riding on buses. It
would be two calendar days later before we emerge in Auckland, New
Zealand, ready to travel |

expedition into the unknown.... |

Sarah and Debbie standing on glass plates in
the Auckland Sky Tower about 700 feet up in the air. This was just a
few moments before lightning struck the tower. What a great intro to
our adventure! |

Kim and furry friend |
Yes, we occasionally took rest stops, and
even though it was winter the ice cream looked good. And there was
usually a furry animal willing to share.... |

The gang looks over a cliff near the entrance
to Sydney Harbor. Strangely, there are rocks below, but they are
staying behind the fence. They aren't acting like geologists at
all!...... |
