In June of 1997, we found several well preserved ruins in the Blanding, Utah area. It was a tough hike with a lot of bushwacking and orienteering, but the effort paid off...

Right: The wall ruin consisted of five or six rooms. Most were hidden behind the wall on the right side of the picture. The dwelling was in very good condition, with wood roof intact, and plaster lining the inner walls.

Inside, the plaster, showing the fingerprints of the builders, is undamaged, and soot covers the roof timbers.
