INSTRUCTIONS:

Record on reel-to-reel tape at 71/2 IPS the following sentence.

"THE LAZY DOG RUNS AND JUMPS OVER THE QUICK BROWN FOX"

Using the scissor cut and trim method of editing, change the sentence you just recorded so that when played back it will say:

"THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG"

 

The assignment will be evaluated as follows:

    1. Physical workmanship of tape splices.(5 points)
    2. Cleanliness of audio reproduction.(5 points)
    3. Tightness of sentence continuity.(5 points)

 Helpful Hints:

  1. Don’t read your recorded sentence too rapidly or with a lot of expression.
    2.
  2. You can use the sentence below as a guide to rehearse where to make splices, cuts and deletions,  or
    cut it up to attach to your tape for labeling your disassembled pieces.
