COMMERCIAL DELIVERY AND PRODUCTION WITH SOUND EFFECTS

This assignment helps develop your skills in reading with inflection while maintaining the timing required for broadcast industry. This assignment will give you further experience in reading with a musical background. This assignment carries

Assignment #4 one more step by using specific music and sound effects as called for in the copy.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Record the attached copy with timing not less than 55 secs. nor more than 60

Seconds.

2. You will be introduced to a music library for finding the appropriate brassy music as background and especially for finding the "Jet sounds". (Unless you plan on going to an airport to tape them live) Brassy music can also come from popular brass musical artists. 
   
3. Now you get to record another version of this spot. This time use only the Jet sound effect and your voice. Rewrite the copy so that it is now not less than 25 nor more than 30 Seconds.
   
4. Submit your rewritten copy (typewritten and double spaced broadcast style) along with your tape.
   
5. Don’t forget to label your project as "Lab #5."

EVALUATION:

1. Maintain properly modulated audio levels.
2. Clear enunciation in delivery with no stumbling over words.
3. Able to maintain your timing during delivery.
4. Maintain the proper and appropriate choice and mix of background music during the delivery of your announcement.
5. Your ability to perform tight and neat production techniques utilizing sound effects from a music/SFX library
