Online Persuasive Speech Example When you click this link, look under platform events and click on the persuasive speech. This student won a good medal at the National Speech Forensics Competition in 2004. She does not use Monroe's Motivational Sequence, but a format using Problem, Cause, Solution. You'll hear her identify the problems and outline the solutions to the issue she presents.

KIM'S PHILOSOPHY I've been teaching for over 20 years and I LOVE IT. I will work diligently for all of you returning projects and exams back by the next class period. I'll strive to make Speech Communication one of the most rewarding experiences you'll have at Columbia. Believe it or not, some of your peers around campus will say this is true! You also have an important role in creating a rewarding experience. If you strive to participate fully and wholeheartedly complete projects in each class, we will have an enriching semester together. I am not one to let many sit in the back of the class and try to disappear. If you want to disappear, then you do not want to take my class. I have found that if you invest into this class, you will receive more than your money's worth. My door is ALWAYS open. If you EVER have a question or a concern, this is your personal invitation to come and chat with me. There may be times that the material or your stress level seems overwhelming. Keep in mind that you are not alone. I understand you may be fearful and approximately 30 other students are sitting here with you terrified of the next 16 weeks. It is my hope that WE will make this semester rewarding for you in countless ways.
