Non-credit to credit course equivalents are approximate. Students entering the credit program from a non-credit class take a placement test through the College Testing Center for placement at an appropriate level.
Non-credit classes are "open-entry." Students may enter in mid-semester whenever places are available in the class.
Most non-credit classes meet six hours per week. Most meet in the afternoon or evening. Classes are offered on both East Campus and West Campus as well as at various locations in the community. See the MJC Schedule of Classes for exact meeting times and locations for the current semester.
