| Michael Smedshammer grew up in California and is a product of the California Community College System. He went to graduate school at the University of New Mexico where he wrote a dissertation about modern writers who came to New Mexico during the 1920s and 1930s. Since 1992 he has taught composition, English as a Second Language, technical writing, philosophy, and literature courses. In 1998 he went to Ecuador where he taught at the Fulbright Commission and at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. He has worked at several community colleges and began teaching at Modesto Junior College in the fall of 2000. Although he’s been playing most of his life, he has a wildly inconsistent golf game. | |
