Student Groups affiliated with the Division

Students in the Literature and Language Arts Division have formed several clubs, which host a variety of events. Below are short descriptions of each with contact information:

Red Nations and Friends

Red Nations was founded at Modesto Junior College in the Spring Semester of 1996. Our purpose is to promote the culture of Native people, to develop an image that does justice to the complexity of all indigenous peoples' lives and histories, and to support and nurture the scholarship and well-being of the club membership.

Sign Language Club

The Sign Language Club of Modesto Junior College is an organization of students whose purpose is to promote the use and knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf culture on the college campus and in the community.
