Grandson: When you were young, was school easy?
Grandfather: No.  When I was young, school was very difficult.  The teachers were very strict.  The homework was hard.
Grandson: Were you a good student?
Grandfather: Of course I was, but your grandmother was the best student.  She was very smart.
