Getting to Know Me

    My name is Sandra Uyeshiro.  I was born in Louisville, Kentucky
 where I attended Bellarmine University and received a Bachelor's degree in 
 Biology.  I continued my education at  Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN 
 receiving a Master's degree in Biology Education.  While working on my degree 
 at Purdue I was a teaching assistant in Anatomy/Physiology labs.  After 
 receiving my degree, I was an Instructor at Purdue in charge of writing and
 setting up labs, and managing the Teaching Assistants in the Anatomy/Physiology 
 labs for Pharmacy students.  I have also taught Junior High School Math and 
 Science as well as High School Biology and Chemistry.  In 1981 I joined the 
 staff in the Biology Department at Modesto Junior College.  Since then I have 
 mainly taught AP 50, Anat 125 and Physiology 101.

   I am married and have two sons and two daughters  ranging in age from 13 to
 29 years.  My husband and I moved to Modesto in 1978.
